I’m pretty sure, you have seen the picture that TMZ released in which Steve Jobs is looking sick (ill) as ever. Well, it’s a fake! see this
A big credit goes to throwaway_4_opinion for pointing the whole thing out.
A recent video has also been released titled “The Life of Steve Jobs in 2 Minutes” Make sure you check it out. I hope no body finds it offensive. But if you do blame it to the creators.
Other Interesting Stuff

Unfortunately the picture is not fake, nor has it been altered.
As Mr. Jobs stated he stepped down because he said he can’t continue to perform the duties of the job.
You do a disservice to your readers, and to the true nature of Mr. Jobs medical issues, by insinuating that this image has been faked or manipulated.
You sound more like a TMZ fan. The photo IS fake. We know Mr. Jobs is sick and maybe looks frail, but this picture has been altered to amplify these particular aspects. It is more shocking that way and will lead to more sales.
Mr Jobs was at Cooks office on the week of his resignation. Hew was also in on Thursday (don’t know who he had come to see)… that is hardly the activity of a man in his death bed.
Steve Jobs is not feeling well… and is unlikely to recover to his former glory… but he is not gravely ill. The resignation was necessary due to rumours that a numbers of companies were trying to recruit Cook to be CEO. This would not have been an issue had Steve been at the top of his game and ready to lead Apple for the next 5-odd years, but it was clear to the board that Steve would have about another year at most – Steve had wanted to get the Apple TV and movie/television strategy out the door before quiting – this is the next innovation frontier for Apple and Steve and Jony are in the thick of developments. The risk of losing Cook forced matters for Steve… to have Cook confirmed as CEO or risk having no successor when he decides to quit in a years time.
As Steve’s health deteriorates, his role on the board will also deminish… but that will not happen before we see the Apple TV functionality built into a number of third party televisions (ironically, Samsung is currently first in line). And no, Apple will not be making their own television, just yet… we are still at the Motorola iPod phone stage (for those who remember the ill-fated partnership with Motorola).
Seems easy enough. Who’s the guy on the right? Ask him.
@Applefan,
We all know that Steve is very sick and that he looks frail. But, I agree that this photo has been altered to make him look even more fragile. Denying that is as dumb as believing that TMZ would not alter any of the pictures they publish to make them more sensational. Those tabloids makes for entertaining reading, but they belong to the bathroom reading category, section “wipe after usage”
@TooSimple
Why would tabloids (or anyone) need to fake a picture of Steve Jobs looking “more fragile”? Especially when the truth of the matter is he is, and has been, quite seriously ill – and obviously his health has eroded to the point of his fragility becoming reason enough to resign because he can’t perform the duties of the job any longer.
Your personal bathroom habits aside, conspiracy theories that this photo has been manipulated are nonsensical and only insult the seriousness of Mr. Jobs’ condition.
I think you probably lost a lot shoring Apple stocks.. good luck.
@applefan
um really?
this part of the statement you made is just laughable.
“Why would tabloids (or anyone) need to fake a picture ”
So what you are saying is that tabloids or anyone never fake pictures. regardless of what the subject is. Every magazine fakes pictures. all of them. name a magazine and I can show you a fake or altered photo they have published in under a minute.
is this picture of steve real. maybe. is it fake most likely. why cause he is the most secretive person on the planet and would never even allow to have a photo of him taken with out his turtle neck in jeans in the last 20 years. so yes i think its a fake.
I’m kind of incredulous at those that are declaring this photo a fake, or acting like his medical issues are being sensationalized. I can only conclude that y’all are in denial and likely have no experience with terminally ill people.
@Applefan
Yea, Steve’s health has been rocky over the past years. Especially after his cancer issues. The thing that makes me laugh is your comment about “Why would tabloids (or anyone) need to fake a picture of Steve Jobs looking “more fragile”?” Why would they do that? ESPECIALLY TMZ?? Well because that’s what all good tabloids and gossip mills do… they over-exaggerate everything and one by one, people take the bait and start forming their own stories. It’s the easiest way in the industry to say a lot of nothing when people think you gave them a novel. Not only that, Apple is an extremely successful company. Even in a time of economic downturn, people are STILL buying their computers. So what better to do than to put big news and start even WORSE rumors about something that big. The bigger the story, the bigger the fall, and the bigger the aftermath. Who’s going to be the vulture watching the entire thing? TMZ. It’s their jobs. The picture HAS been altered. A human with eyes can plainly see that. They make Steve look more fragile to provide even the most out of the loop person good gossip as to why the company was handed over to Cook (implying Steve is on the last limb). The thing is… Steve is stepping down because he knows something and that’s his business. It could be that he knew it was going to be the best time to step down from a very successful company and leave it to a man he knew would take care of the vision and the health issues just happen to be there… But who cares. He stepped down. He’s no longer CEO, he’s Head of their board… and he’s still involved with Disney. If something was bad enough that Steve wanted out all together, he would have stepped down and slipped out of the limelight. He’s still got a MAJOR say in the company, he’s just no longer the biggest face of the company.
Why do people pay so much attention to this? Leave the man alone and get a life! I’m tired of seeing that picture on every site over and over again. I don’t wanna see it! I don’t need it! I got my own life to worry about! Some people should pull the internet plug out to get their mind on their business.
There is no need for TMZ (or any magazine) to over-exaggerate anything in this instance – since Mr. Jobs actually IS gravely ill and has been for some time – so much so he just resigned and explained to everyone why. (I’m unsure how anyone can say a terminal illness is not gravely ill?)
It is a straw man argument to say: Tabloids or magazines alter photos, so this photo must be too, and then to grasp straws in attempting to prove it.
For all the photo altered conspiracy theorists, not one has addressed the fact that he is wearing a hospital gown, or bothered to look at the photo in light of his other other recent public appearances in which he looked equally as frail.
It is apparent from the photo that he is not on his “death bed” – he is still somewhat ambulatory, however what is very clear is that he is is not well and his condition is deteriorating. As has been pointed out by others, he has been working from home for months because his condition has not allowed him the ability to come in to the office every day. (As with all terminally ill patients, somedays are better than others, and allow you more ability or less.)
This photo follows a 6 months earlier video published last February of Mr. Jobs being wobbly and unsteady as he walks – which may of necessitated the person assisting him now. http://www.gizmocrunch.com/apple/5507-steve-jobs-video
This photo only shows the unfortunate natural decline of someone afflicted with such a terminal illness. Again, there is no need to sensationalize that or alter a photo to hasten that, since that is his condition & ultimate prognosis.
TMZ has no interest in the rise or fall of Apple, they only cover celebrities & their condition(s). TMZ isn’t altering photos of Zsa Zsa Gabor to make her appear more ill then she is, or of Lindsay Lohan being more drunk than she has been, or any celebrities without panties on. They publish the photos and the unflattering, personal, conditions as they find them.
Lastly, neither Apple or Jobs himself have issued any kind of denial or statement that the picture is anything but accurate. You can rebut a falsehood, you can not the truth.
